Description

That's what he told me:
Basically, shortly before she can lay her egg, Alexandria has an accident (not sure just what), and the egg shatters within her. She's rushed to hospital and her hatchling is delivered, but the two of them are in intensive care for a few weeks; during which time her mate and family go through hell (to make matters worse for Long'Liang, this is exactly how his mother died; his egg shattered and his father (Long'Li) was able to use magic to save him, but not his mother, leading to Long'Li resenting him for many years...but this would help them get closer; Long'Li would rush to see his son, seeking to comfort him lest he end up going through the same hell he went through all those years ago). In they end, they both recover, but Long'Liang and Alexandria are a bit overprotective of their hatchling for a few years because they nearly lost him.

So a picture like this would be Alexandria in a hospital bed (or nest) looking exhausted and cradling her hatchling (she'd be on her side; wings make it hard for a dragon to lie on their back comfortably) with Liang lying beside her (their heads could be resting against one another) and nuzzling their hatchling.

- Ok, it's not acutally a "nuzzling" but I guess I got the point. Poor Alexandria really looks exhausted, pale and tired. The baby is just fine. They're so happy. It's a nest in a hospital with lots and lots of pillows. Just imagine it Imagination

Hope you like it. I was a bit fast than I thought. I finished the outlines and half of the coloration yesterday. Today I got sick and stayed at home the whole evening. Finished the coloration.
